Song of Sunday 5/31/2020

Poems about Jesus.

Each Sunday, I plan on taking a break from devotional-type writing to share an original poem.

The ocean roared

Like a caged tiger

Wave after wave billowed

Rising higher and higher

The vastness of her depth

Was an absolute terror

Further and further the current drew me out

Surely this voyage was in error

I had forgotten who rebukes

The wind and the seas

What little faith I had

As I fell to my knees

There was great calm

In my heart and in the flux

Even the sea obeys Him!

He is Lord; that is the crux.
