Adveniat Regnum = Glory Days are Yet to Come
Adveniat Regnum = Kingdom Come in Latin
PART FIVE OF SIX
“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself” (Philippians 3:20-21).
Point four this week is our glory days are yet to come!
We await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Almighty who Revelation 1:8 tells us, “Who is and who was and who is to come.” The Alpha and the Omega. He’s always been; He came to earth as Lamb and He is coming again as Lion.
He will transform our lowly body to be like Him, but as we wait, we are still to be like Him, to pursue Christlikeness. We should strive to know Him better here so we can know Him better there, in Glory.
“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).
Paul says our citizenship is in heaven, for we are not of this world, but we have a race to run while we are here. Our glory days are yet to come, but I am not just talking about meeting Jesus in heaven. If you are in pursuit of Christ here on Earth, your best days are ahead. Our glory days are yet to come – in heaven and on earth.
Just for today, meditate on this truth.
Tune in tomorrow for Part Six……
